Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is hiring a Container Repair Mechanic responsible for repairs, maintenance and installation of compactors and related equipment. The role involves electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, welding and fabrication to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and legally eligible to work in the US. Welding skills are a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the US.
• Equipment maintenance/repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, perform preventative maintenance and repair compactors and other stationary equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical problems including high voltage work.
• Read hydraulic schematics and repair hydraulic issues on equipment.
• Assist with installation of compactors and other stationary equipment per schedule.
