Job summary

WM is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Tennessee who performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on compactors and containers. The role requires following procedures, safety standards, and accurate reporting of parts and time. Strong attention to electrical/hydraulic systems is needed.

Salary starts at $24 per hour and up, with benefits including medical and 401(k). Must have a valid driver's license and be able to meet physical requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Valid Driver's License Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs compactors and containers under general supervision.
• Works under limited supervision and follows written instructions and established procedures.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services as assigned.
• Inspects, diagnoses and repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems as needed.
• Uses computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs on repairs and requisitions parts.
• Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conducts safety checks on compactors and containers.
• Completes required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assists senior technicians in project work.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures.
