Job summary

Thomas Eye Group PC in Roswell, GA is seeking an Entry level Dispensing Optician to assist with fitting and dispensing contact lenses, verifying prescriptions, and helping patients select frames.

The role supports the optometrist, performs administrative duties, and ensures a smooth clinic operation. ABO/GA licensure and NCLE are required, with high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Assist patient with selecting frames. Assist in preparation of work order for optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames. Verify lens prescription. Provide customer service in a polite and professional manner. Assist patients with selecting and ordering contact lens, give advice on insertions and fittings, and educates patients on proper contact lens care. Must be initiative and have organizational skills to keep the Facility running at top performance. Assist Optometrist with any administrative duties, patient call backs and lab support.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferredABO, GA licensed required, Licensed Dispensing Optician required, NCLE.

A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Previous experience with contact lens dispensary
