Job summary

Heaton Eye Associates in East Texas is seeking an exceptional Telephone Operator to support front desk operations, answer and route calls, and schedule patient appointments. You will screen requests, take accurate messages, and help maintain smooth clinic communication across locations.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service, multitasking ability, and experience with medical office software. A professional appearance and a willingness to grow are essential for success in this role.

The physicians of Heaton Eye Associates have been serving East Texas’ vision needs for over 40 years. We offer state-of-the-art technology with special services ranging from primary eye care to world-class laser surgery. Our physicians were the first to offer LASIK laser vision correction in East Texas and have performed tens of thousands of procedures since its inception. Heaton Eye offers a wide range of premium lenses including Symfony Extended Depth of Focus lenses, PanOptix® lenses, and Vivity® lenses to offer freedom from glasses and contacts after cataract surgery. We are seeking an EXCEPTIONAL Telephone Operator who takes pride in their work, loves to be of servitude to others, a great TEAM player, and an open-growth mindset. Answer incoming calls and distribute calls to the appropriate person, screen incoming calls to determine the necessity for the person requested to receive the call. Take messages accurately, completely, and distribute in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Proficient with NextGen, assisting TEAM members, and performing all job functions independently. Responsible for coordinating patient appts, which includes scheduling, rescheduling, canceling. Follow up and contact patients regarding appt recall, Recare, Brevium, Solution Reach, Website contact, email contact and other practice operation platforms for appt scheduling/rescheduling, referral request, etc. according to established policy, and customer service standards. Perform work with a focus on effective communications and accurate documentation.

Experience

Minimum Of 1 Year Of Medical Office Experience

Preferred minimum of 1 year appts scheduling for multiple physicians & location
