Job summary

UL Solutions in Northbrook, IL, seeks an Engineer to independently manage safety investigations for cutting-edge consumer technology equipment, ensuring timely and compliant completion.

The role is hybrid with onsite requirements three days a week; requires a ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree and 1–3 years of related experience. Includes annual bonus target and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Electrical focus, or related field from an ABET accredited program.
• 1–3 years directly related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manages project scope, plan, and specifications including cost, time, and sample requirements.
• Travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests and communicate project benefits to clients.
• Coordinate laboratory activities, schedule technicians, and establish completion dates.
• Discuss technical issues with clients and explain UL procedures and requirements.
• Prepare reports, follow-up service procedures, and drive continuous improvement.
