About NLACRC

North LA County Regional Center (NLACRC) is a private, non-profit agency contracted with the California Department of Developmental Services. We serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley since 1974, spanning all age groups.

Supervision

Reports to Consumer Services Supervisors/Managers.

Consumer Services - San Fernando Valley - School Age 1

Position Summary

• Develop, monitor, and revise program plans for individuals.
• Identify and coordinate services for individuals and families.
• Complete documentation and reports per regulations and policies.
• Advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings with clients, families, and providers.
• Address barriers to service delivery with culturally sensitive strategies.
• Perform officer-of-the-day duties, assist co-workers, and provide emergency services as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field plus two years of experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for experience.

Skills and Abilities

Understanding family systems, person-centered planning, knowledge of disabilities, organizational skills, ability to work independently and in teams, excellent communication, proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

Essential Requirements

Community-based work involving home, community, or office meetings. Valid California Driver’s License and transportation required.
