Responsibilities

• Process routine and non routine consumer loan servicing requests (payments, adjustments, maintenance, payoffs).
• Order services and reviews for Consumer Real Estate loan products.
• Support inquiries from Members and internal partners related to existing consumer loan accounts.
• Administer lien perfection filings to ensure collateral security.
• Adhere to applicable federal and state regulations (BSA/AML, Reg Z, Reg E, etc.).
• Complete servicing reports or quality/control reviews as assigned.
• Provide operational support for servicing projects and system enhancements.
• Process and manage ancillary product claims related to CPI and other loan protection products.
• Provide backup support for consumer lending processing functions as needed.

Centra has an exciting opportunity for a Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist at our Corporate HQ in Columbus, Indiana. The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for maintaining existing consumer loans throughout the lifecycle by accurately processing servicing requests, ensuring loan account integrity, complying with regulatory requirements and delivering responsive professional service to Members and internal partners. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and closing of Consumer Direct and Indirect loan products. This role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of loan processing requirements, regulations, and internal procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.

• Process routine and non routine consumer loan servicing requests, including payments, adjustments, loan maintenance, payoffs, and account updates.
• Order services and reviews (appraisal, title, flood) for Consumer Real Estate loan products.
• Support, collaborate, and communicate to Member and internal partner inquiries related to existing consumer loan accounts.
• Administer process timely consumer loan titles and UCC filings, lien perfections and lien modifications to ensure collateral security.
• Adhere to all applicable federal and state regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg Z, Reg E (as applicable), SCRA, MLA, and Credit Union policies.
• Complete servicing reports or quality and control reviews as assigned.
• Provide operational support for Consumer Loan Operations projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and implementation activities.
• Process and manage ancillary product claims while supporting all servicing activities related to CPI, Debt Protection, and other loan protection products.
• Provide backup support for consumer lending processing functions as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - (EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED):

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Under one year of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
