Job summary

Kalsee Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Loan Specialist to coordinate consumer and home equity loan closings, manage collateral and title perfection, and ensure compliant documentation for the Contact Center Lending team. This role acts as Notary Public and collaborates with members, dealerships, vendors, and internal teams throughout the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of consumer lending, loan closing, or loan documentation experience preferred.
• Notary Public certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Working knowledge of vehicle title, lien perfection, and mortgage recording processes.
• Familiarity with HMDA and other consumer lending compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consumer and home equity loan closings with the Contact Center Lending staff.
• Prepare and review loan documentation for accuracy prior to closing.
• Communicate with members throughout the closing process to obtain outstanding documents.
• Serve as Notary Public to support closings and ensure compliant closing activity.
• Manage lien perfection activities and collateral records for auto, RV, and second mortgages.
• Record primary and secondary mortgage liens and monitor recordings through completion.
• Maintain electronic loan files and index all indirect lending documentation.
• Audit loan files for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
