Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of large agency/public relations experience, ideally in retail.
• Proven track record of building strong client relationships and delivering programs that beat targets.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and interfacing with integrated agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams and budgets on sizable accounts.
• Ensure high quality work, seamless client service, growth, and employee development.
• Act as primary client contact and foster client-agency relationships.
• Provide strategic guidance on program strategy and executive visibility.
• Lead account teams in the best interest of clients.
• Troubleshoot client problems and seek senior input when needed.
• Motivate team members, review work, and encourage training and development.
• Represent the agency in client-integrated meetings.
• Write and edit programs, proposals, press materials, byline articles, speeches, and reports.
• Develop communication and presentation materials for clients and colleagues.
• Manage account financials including budgets, billing, invoicing, and POs.
• Ensure billability and profitability; build incremental business.
• Communicate account status to agency management.
• Participate in new business programming and presentations.
