Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced consumer finance litigation attorney based in California to defend clients in credit cards, mortgages, auto finance, and other lending products in state and federal courts and arbitration forums. You will draft pleadings and motions, conduct rigorous legal research, and collaborate with clients and litigation teams to manage matters efficiently.

A California Bar license and 3+ years of relevant experience are required; ability to work in the office at

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license with 3+ years of consumer finance litigation defense experience.
• Experience defending credit cards, mortgages, auto finance, or other lending products.
• Experience with FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, and California consumer protection statutes preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience in state and federal courts and/or arbitration forums.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in consumer finance litigation involving credit cards, mortgage lending, auto finance, and other lending products.
• Handle consumer finance disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration forums.
• Defend claims arising under FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, and California consumer protection statutes.
• Handle California consumer protection matters involving the Rosenthal Act, CCRAA, and related common law claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to manage matters efficiently.
• Contribute to consumer class action defense matters when applicable.
• Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across multiple active matters.

• Handle California consumer protection matters involving the Rosenthal Act, California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCRAA), and related common law claims.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to manage matters efficiently.
• Contribute to consumer class action defense matters when applicable.
• Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across multiple active matters.
