Navy Exchange Service Command in Newport, RI seeks a Supervisory Sales Associate (Consumables) to lead store associates, deliver premier customer service, and drive sales. The role emphasizes knowledge of products, promotions, and teamwork to ensure a positive shopping experience for service members and their families.

The position offers a competitive salary starting at the NF-01 level with benefits beginning on day one, including comprehensive healthcare, PTO, and loan forgiveness eligibility.

Competenze

• Product knowledge required; training documentation provided.
• 1–2 years retail or related work experience required.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Basic math and cashier skills including making change.

Mansioni

• Provide proactive customer service and engage customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about promotions.
• Maintain store appearance and organize merchandise.
• Cross-sell and upsell products; knowledge of store layout.
• Use POS system for transactions and cash handling.
• Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliations; assist with inventories.
• Lead and coach associates; open/close locations as needed.
