Job summary

Nova Biomedical in Waltham, MA is seeking a Consumable Engineering Co-op to join the Consumable Engineering team. This role provides hands-on support to reagent, sensor, and tubing manufacturing operations, helping ensure on-time shipment of high-quality products at an acceptable cost.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting regulated manufacturing operations through equipment qualification, process validation, tooling and fixture design, technical documentation, new equipment installation,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program leading to a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling and drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manufacturing documentation in compliance with Quality System Regulations and ISO standards.
• Assist with setup, installation and improvement of equipment and processes.
• Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing and modify existing production equipment as needed.
• Provide direct technical support to manufacturing operations under engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and support project timelines.
