Job description

Huron helps its clients drive growth, enhance performance, and sustain leadership in their markets. We assist healthcare organizations in building innovation capabilities and accelerating growth initiatives, enabling them to own the future rather than be disrupted by it. Our goal is to empower clients to create sustainable growth, optimize internal processes, and improve consumer outcomes.

Health systems, hospitals, and medical clinics face immense pressure to improve clinical outcomes and reduce patient care costs. Investing in partnerships, clinical services, and technology alone is not enough; long-term success requires empowering leaders, clinicians, employees, and communities to foster a culture of innovation for the best patient outcomes.

Joining Huron means helping our clients adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare environment, optimize operations, improve clinical outcomes, enhance the healthcare experience, and increase engagement across the enterprise.

As a Senior Director in our Healthcare team, you will lead complex performance improvement projects, create high-performing environments, and ensure successful client results. You will manage engagement economics, quantify benefits, and develop solutions for performance initiatives. Your leadership will foster an inclusive environment, build executive relationships, lead change, and identify new business opportunities.

Specifically, as the Healthcare Consulting Senior Director in Revenue Cycle, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of revenue cycle processes such as patient access, coding, charge capture, revenue integrity, and denial management.
  • Monitoring and improving financial metrics like reducing accounts receivable days, increasing cash flow, and minimizing bad debt.
  • Leading performance improvement initiatives, creating collaborative environments, and ensuring client success.
  • Managing engagement finances, including budgets, revenue forecasting, margins, invoicing, and billing.
  • Applying analytical skills to quantify benefits, assess risks, and develop performance solutions.
  • Communicating effectively to understand client challenges, craft tailored solutions, and manage expectations through impactful presentations.
  • Building strong relationships with executives, leading change, and leveraging Huron capabilities to meet client goals.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of healthcare consulting or performance improvement experience
  • Proven experience in revenue cycle improvement projects
  • Knowledge of strategies like process redesign, technology, automation, and performance management
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% weekly and work extended hours
  • Supervisory experience with teams of varying sizes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • US work authorization
