The Role

We are seeking a Consulting Principal to join our Communications Transformation group. The ideal candidate will exemplify attributes such as [2-3 ATTRIBUTES OF ROLE]. Responsibilities include leading advisory engagements, serving as a trusted client advisor, contributing to thought leadership, solving complex problems, and mentoring teams. At the Associate Director level, this involves overseeing client projects, guiding teams, and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Lead, managing teams across projects to ensure successful delivery, client satisfaction, and profitability.
• Build strong client relationships, anticipate needs, and stay informed about industry and technological trends in communications.
• Align and collaborate with consulting teams and stakeholders within Cognizant and with clients.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management of team members.
• Negotiate consulting rates and recognize team contributions.
• Manage the development and sharing of intellectual property and project artifacts.
• Contribute to the development of new consulting service offerings.
• Leverage networks within Cognizant and externally to foster innovation and resolve issues.
• Support thought leadership initiatives to promote Cognizant’s brand and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consulting, professional services, digital strategy, or transformation programs, with client-facing leadership experience.
• Proven track record in leading digital technology teams and managing client engagements.
• Strong telecommunications consulting and sales experience.
• Must be local to Atlanta and comfortable working onsite daily.
• Excellent consulting, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Technical undergraduate degree; MBA preferred.
• Experience navigating dynamic, multi-tiered consulting environments.
• Leadership qualities and a desire to foster a positive team culture.
