Job Description:
Consulting Practice Administrator- Turnaround, Restructuring, Insolvency & Special Situations

Are you the person who thrives on organization, precision, and bringing order to complexity? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of finance, legal processes, and executive support?

We're seeking a highly organized Consulting Practice Administrator to play a critical role in supporting bankruptcy, receivership, restructuring, and insolvency engagements. In this position, you'll partner with consultants, principals, attorneys, trustees, and financial professionals to help navigate complex business transitions and deliver exceptional client service.

This is far more than a traditional administrative role. You'll be a trusted coordinator, financial administrator, document management expert, and problem-solver who helps keep critical engagements moving forward.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving new problems every day. While certain responsibilities are recurring and require consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail, no two weeks look exactly alike.

Successful candidates are naturally curious, resourceful, and energized by learning new things. They are comfortable handling routine administrative and financial tasks but become especially engaged when presented with unfamiliar situations, special projects, or complex client matters that require investigation, critical thinking, and coordination.

The right person enjoys variety, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and takes pride in bringing order and structure to fast-moving environments.

What You'll Do:
Case & Engagement Administration
  • Coordinate bankruptcy, receivership, and restructuring case administration activities
  • Support litigation, receivership, bankruptcy, and restructuring matters by gathering records, coordinating legal documentation, facilitating discovery requests, and maintaining case files.
  • Maintain engagement files, project trackers, and document repositories
  • Compile and organize legal, financial, and corporate documentation
  • Support compliance, reporting, and records-retention requirements
  • Prepare correspondence, affidavits, mailings, and notarized documents
Financial & Billing Support
  • Prepare client billing packages, fee applications, PCRs, and engagement reports
  • Track consultant time and monthly billing activity
  • Assemble billing statements and fee-related reporting
  • Manage cash administration, payables processing, banking coordination, vendor payments, account maintenance, and expense reporting for client and fiduciary engagements.
  • Reconcile and organize engagement financial documentation
Banking & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Monitor receivership and engagement bank accounts
  • Manage banking correspondence and administrative activities
  • Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, banks, vendors, and external stakeholders
  • Follow up on approvals, action items, and critical deadlines
Executive & Practice Support
  • Manage executive calendars and scheduling
  • Coordinate meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Track licensing, CPE, and compliance requirements
  • Provide administrative support to consultants, principals, and engagement teams
What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in legal administration, bankruptcy administration, receivership support, restructuring consulting support, accounting administration, or a related professional-services environment
  • Experience supporting attorneys, consultants, CPAs, trustees, court-appointed fiduciaries, or executive leaders
  • Exposure to accounts payable, banking operations, billing, or bookkeeping processes
  • Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Demonstrated interest in utilizing AI, workflow automation, and technology tools to improve efficiency, organization, reporting, and document management processes.
  • Strong document management and records administration experience
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial administration and reporting aptitude
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing invoices, billing packages, and legal documents
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Notary certification is a plus.
Experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:
  • Bankruptcy and insolvency administration
  • Restructuring or turnaround consulting
  • Receivership support
  • Litigation support
