MGO (Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP) is seeking a Consulting Manager in California to lead and manage complex engagements in accounting advisory, due diligence, forensic accounting, and litigation support. The role emphasizes client relationships, project leadership, and team development.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, and proven ability to manage scope, budgets, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA, CFE, or CRFAC required.
• 5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, financial due diligence, litigation support, advisory services, or public accounting consulting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience managing client engagements and leading teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting advisory, due diligence, forensic accounting, and litigation support engagements.
• Manage engagement scope, budgets, timelines, and client communications.
• Review analyses, workpapers, reports, and client deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Advise clients on U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and complex transactions.
• Present findings and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
• Identify financial reporting risks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Coach, mentor, and develop consulting professionals.
• Support recruiting, training, and practice growth initiatives.

• Travel Requirement: 10%–30%

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $135,000 - $160,000
• Bonus Opportunity: Up to 10% of base salary
