Job summary

CDW is seeking a Consulting Data Architect to design scalable Snowflake architectures on AWS and drive AI-enabled analytics patterns. You will lead architecture decisions, guide data engineering across multiple projects, and deliver production-ready data solutions for enterprise clients.

You will build PoCs, templates, and accelerators, mentor junior staff, and communicate with executive stakeholders. Travel to client sites is expected as needed, with a focus on governance and measurable

Job Summary:

The Consulting Data Architect - Snowflake makes innovative contributions to new solution/product design and implementation, based on understanding of applicable technology and how it can be applied to solution design, considerations of system-wide impact and business issues for clients. Provides technical expertise in analyzing client's requirements to develop services offerings across multiple technology solutions that provide significant value. This role also supports data engineering delivery by designing, ingesting, transforming, validating, and documenting analytics data solutions, including medallion-style data marts that combine multiple data sources into trusted models for reporting and actionable business insights.

What you will do:

• Design and deliver Snowflake architectures deployed on AWS, leveraging dbt and Generative AI solution patterns.
• Build and validate proofs of concept, prototypes, reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and implementation templates that help move data and AI solutions from concept to production-ready outcomes.
• Lead project teams, directing coworker and client teams in solution design and development.
• Provide leadership in creating business cases, financial justification and solution benefit content for customer ready deliverables and presentations.
• Aggregate oversight of technical solutions across multiple projects to ensure synergy in our approach and broad visibility to the solutions delivery team
• Proactively addresses or escalates any budget issues that are identified during the project.
• Quality Assurance for SOW requests that meet triggers for size, cross brand, and complexity. Perform peer review of deliverables from other team members for technical content to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain client relationships as a trusted Technical Advisor. Serve as focal point for communications between multiple departments and clients, when necessary, using experience and judgment to communicate effectively to all parties. Recommend solutions supporting client account teams with development of proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Lead development of practical AI-enabled solution patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, embedding pipelines, prompt orchestration, semantic search, and AI-enabled analytics workflows.

What we expect of you:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' professional experience with relational data models, databases, data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and analytics delivery OR 11+ years' professional experience with relational data models, databases, data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and analytics delivery
• Strong experience with Snowflake, DBT, AWS, and SQL, including data transformation, cleansing, preparation, and performance-minded development.
• Experience developing datasets that support ad-hoc analytical needs, reporting, and marketing or business stakeholder insight generation.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries and complying with internal governance, data privacy, and data quality requirements.
• Preferred experience includes healthcare data, marketing data, and a bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Implements, maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots S&S solutions; transferring technical skills and knowledge to client through work logs.
• Performs overall solution Quality Assurance (QA) tasks for all projects delivered against assigned project deliverables while ensuring they are in alignment with the project scope and SOW (Statement of Work).
• Provides implementation/migration planning to client, knowing and meeting client timetable, coordinating vendor installations, etc.
• Facilitates communication between product team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with leadership stakeholders and clients.
• Proven ability to maintain and create technical documentation for assigned project work.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, especially client and project changes, with solid analytical skills to identify potential risks.
• History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience applying lessons learned to unique problems. History of reskilling on new technologies with understanding of difference with past technologies.
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed to other CDW locations or client sites.

Pay range: $128,000 - $193,200 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan
