Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in P&C, Specialty, Commercial Insurance or Reinsurance.
  • Experience improving operating models in Commercial Lines underwriting, claims, and billing.
  • Familiar with BPMN2.0 or relevant process documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Insurance practice by contributing to business development and talent management.
  • Conduct workshops to identify pain points and define value opportunities.
  • Mentor junior team members and manage project deliveries.

About the job:

  • Play a vital role in further building up Synpulse USA’s Insurance practice around digital transformation and operational excellence topics by making key contributions to business development, talent management, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadership
  • Identify opportunities, articulate Synpulse value, and support selling services to both new and existing clients
  • Conduct interviews and workshops to understand current state pain points, define future state visions and prioritization of opportunity areas that deliver value across people, processes, data & technology while ensuring buy-in from clients’ senior management
  • Independently drive the success of a project by directing activities ensuring high quality and timely deliverables
  • Manage a team of consultants by organizing workstreams, defining work packages and mentoring junior team members
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with a team of creative, fun, and driven colleagues

About you:

  • 5+ years of insurance (P&C, Specialty, Commercial Insurance or Reinsurance) experience at a management consulting firm or in a corporate strategy, enterprise architecture, business development, or management function within an insurance firm
  • Experience in working in or directly improving operating models in P&C Commercial Lines underwriting, claims and billing functions is required
  • An understanding of how changes to underwriting, claims and billing operating models impact up-/down-stream functions is preferred
  • Experience in playing a Requirements / Process Analyst role on projects that upgrade insurance core admin platforms (policy, billing, claims) is recommended
  • Experienced in BPMN2.0 or other relevant process documentation methods is a plus.
  • Stakeholder management: able and enjoys to work with people
  • SCRUM / Agile project experience, UAT/Testing experience is a plus.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to assist in a variety of projects and firm initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to travel

The salary range in New York City for this role is $90,000 - $125,000
