About the Role:
As a quality assurance lead in the Quality Management and Improvement Services practice, you will organize a compliance review team that provides quality assurance analysis and supports our clients through today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape. Your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include providing leadership and performing risk management, business analysis, quality assurance, critical thinking, and problem-solving activities to assist our healthcare clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of a compliance review team, including assigning and tracking compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate compliance review logistics, including scheduling and developing stakeholder communications.
  • Organize agendas and lead team/client meetings, as needed.
  • Oversee the progress of compliance reviews and act as point-of-contact for internal and external compliance review team communications.
  • Coordinate the compliance review team in responding to ad hoc internal and external requests.
  • Implement ongoing quality control practices.
  • Organize staff onboarding and subject-matter training in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Support ongoing operationalization of electronic visit verification (EVV) processes and procedures. This includes developing high-quality deliverables, templates, and reports and establishing quality control processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to provide a high level of customer service.
About you:
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with compliance reviews or audits.
  • Experience with leading a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional customer service relationship techniques, including superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail in completing assigned tasks.
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and adhering to work standards.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the New York Medicaid EVV Program.
  • Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for overseeing a team and/or project.
  • Knowledge of NYS Medicaid billing practices/systems.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medicaid of New York (eMedNY), Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths – NY (CANS-NY), the Uniform Assessment System of New York (UAS-NY), Medicaid health homes, Medicaid managed care organizations (MMCOs), or other related programs/systems.
  • Experience with NYS Medicaid billing, including the use of various electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience working with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), or the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
  • Ability to work with and relate to staff and to demonstrate active listening skills.
  • Process oriented and results-driven work strategy.
  • Ability to foster teamwork with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare management, public policy, psychology, human services, or a related field and two years of related experience as defined above.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
The target base salary for this position is $60,000 - $82,000 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
