Job summary

Nüvitek is seeking a Consultant for the Power Platform to develop and implement Power Platform applications, workflows, integrations, and data solutions in a hybrid role based in Camp Springs, MD. This position collaborates with stakeholders and supports design, testing, and production support.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in computer science and about six years of software development experience, with hands-on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
• Experience building business apps, automated workflows, data solutions, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of architecture, databases, APIs, and software development practices.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical design and system documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and supporting production systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and implement applications and automated workflows that meet business needs and IT standards.
• Develop application components, data models, integrations, and workflows based on approved designs.

Nüvitek is seeking a Consultant, Power Platform to develop and implement Power Platform applications, workflows, integrations, and data solutions. This role will support technical design, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, releases, and production support. The consultant will work independently on assigned solutions while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Hybrid: 3 days a week

What you will do

Develop and configure solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, and related technologies.

• Translate defined business requirements into functional and technical Power Platform solutions.
• Design, build, test, and implement applications and automated workflows that meet business needs and established IT standards.
• Develop application components, data models, integrations, and workflows based on approved technical designs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including application designs, database schemas, integration documentation, and deployment documentation.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews and incorporate feedback into application development.
• Troubleshoot application issues, user concerns, enhancement requests, and defects.
• Support application performance improvements, system enhancements, and approved architecture changes.
• Assist with software releases, deployments, installations, training, and ongoing application support.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, project teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify technical risks and communicate potential issues, dependencies, and recommended solutions to project leadership.
• Follow established development, security, documentation, and quality standards.

What you will bring

• Obtain a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related fields.
• 6 years of relevant professional experience in software development, application development, or related technical disciplines.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Experience building business applications, automated workflows, data solutions, and integrations.
• Understanding of application architecture, databases, APIs, connectors, and software development practices.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical design and system documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and supporting production systems.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ability to participate effectively in design discussions, code reviews, and technical problem-solving activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had

• Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
• Experience supporting federal government customers or government contracting environments.
• Experience with Power Platform governance, security, and environment management.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or other Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience supporting application releases and user training.
