Job summary

Nuvitek is seeking an Associate Consultant, Appian who will collaborate with a team of developers in an Agile environment to modernize customer applications using low-code Appian solutions. You will learn from peers and mentor juniors during your tenure.

The role focuses on delivering value and innovative, cost-effective solutions for dynamic environments. The position emphasizes remote work with opportunities to engage in knowledge sharing, architecture discussions, and client-facing Sprint

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in design and implementation of digital low-code solutions using Appian.
• Strong Appian development and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with both technical and business resources.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and sprint ceremonies.
• Hands-on experience with modern Record Types and related features.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Envision, design, and implement new features on the Appian platform based on backlog priorities.
• Provide estimates for upcoming sprints based on functionality.
• Collaborate with functional and testing teams to ensure end-user needs are met.
• Unit test features and conduct peer reviews of code as needed.
• Participate in Agile meetings (User Story grooming, Sprint Planning, retrospectives).
• Deliver presentations to clients during Sprint demos and coordinate cross-team meetings.
• Contribute to architectural discussions for digital solutions and accelerators.
• Share best practices and draft white papers within the company.
• Assist in building proofs of concept and internal applications as needed.

Description

As an Associate Consultant, Appian, who is passionate about delivering value to your customers, you will be working closely with an equally enthusiastic team of developers and engineers working in an Agile environment to modernize our customer's application using low-code solutions. As part of the process, you will be learning from peers/ seniors and will be mentoring juniors in your tenure with Nuvitek.

In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Help to envision, design, and implement new features utilizing the Appian low-code platform for the projects based upon the prioritized product backlog
• Bring innovating, out-of-the-box thinking to solving challenging problems, brainstorming with peers, and utilizing available resources including internal as well as external resources
• Provide estimates of upcoming sprints' work based upon current understanding of the functionality
• Work with functional and testing team to understand the business functionality, to ensure what is developed meets or exceeds the end-user needs
• Unit test all developed features, including edge cases. Also be comfortable to conduct peer review of other developer’s code as needed
• Attend and actively participate in all Agile-related meetings. Work within the Agile framework including participating in User Story grooming sessions, Sprint Planning meeting, and retrospectives
• Delivery presentations as required to the client during Sprint demos as well coordinating meetings with intersecting teams as required.
• Participate in implementation architectures for digital solutions, frameworks, and accelerators
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions within the company to socialize best practices and draft white papers as applicable
• Help with building proof of concept, creating technical solutions for internal application as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or other IT related degree
• Certified Appian Associate Developer or Appian Senior Developer.
• Applicants MUST be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government’s Public Trust security clearance.
• At least 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of digital, bpm low code solutions using Appian.
• Strong Appian development and debugging skills
• Fairly good understanding of data concepts (SQL, Databases) and business workflows.
• Experience working on recent Appian versions (24.x and later).
• Hands-on experience working with modern/synced Record Types and related features.
• Strong verbal and writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels with technical as well as business resources.
• Highly Desired Qualifications, Work Experience, and Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience with Appian SAIL, Process Models, Interfaces, Process Monitoring, and/or Integrations.
  • Experience in handling multiple tasks, changing priorities, and timely action; experience with Agile methodologies and Agile project management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in a remote environment.
  • Experience working with software development team members.
  • Other open sources technology experience preferred.
