Job summary

Capital Group in Irvine, CA is seeking an HR Solutions Consultant to support North America. You will partner with the global HR team and leaders to drive people initiatives, focusing on medical accommodations under ADA and LOA administration, and improve processes through centralization and technology.

You will manage a workload of complex accommodation and LOA cases, educate leaders on policy, interpret plan documents, and deliver data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in HR, business, or a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with case management preferred.
• Experience in medical/religious accommodations and LOA guidance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a workload of complex medical/religious accommodations and LOA cases for Canada and the US.
• Educate leaders on accommodation/leave laws and benefit programs; provide customized guidance.
• Lead projects to centralize processes and implement technology for efficiency.

In this role, you will partner with the global HR team, our specialist teams, and business leaders to drive the people component of Capital’s business strategy, particularly focusing on medical accommodations requests under ADA (US) and AODA (Canada), Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, resolving questions/issues across several general HR and Benefits domains. You will participate in and/or lead projects aimed at expanding centralization or continuous process improvement, leverage technology to improve the associate experience, and discover actionable insights and recommend solutions.Please note, this role does require you to work in office Monday-Thursday with the flexibility to work from home on Friday.“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”You can independently oversee a case load of complex medical/religious accommodations and LOA cases for Canada and the US: identifying and prioritizing situations requiring action and managing those cases from start to finish.You have strong communication skills and can build rapport quickly with a variety of stakeholders and use these skills and other knowledge to proactively educate leaders regarding accommodation/leave laws and benefit programs.You have demonstrated advanced consulting skills by resolving complex issues and applying knowledge of benefits plans and summary plan descriptions to everyday situations.You have a broad HR knowledge base and can be the point of contact for accommodations/LOA cases, general benefits, and other HR questions.You can interpret various HR policies and procedures, offering customized guidance to associates and managers tailored to specific circumstances.You connect the dots in complex and often ambiguous situations, deriving insights that are critical to advancing organizational goals.You succeed in fast-paced environments where independent thinking and collaborative teamwork are equally essential for success.You have strong organizational skills, and can flex between project work, ongoing responsibilities, and in-the-moment priorities.You enjoy analyzing and making recommendations and have a track record of leading impactful and successful projects and process improvement efforts that create measurable value.You enjoy working with data and know how to conduct trend analysis with large sets of information. You thrive on interpreting data, identifying key points, and translating information into actionable insights and ideas for practicable solutions.You have a bachelor's degree, master's degree or HR certifications and a minimum of 5 years HR experience preferred.
