Marsh McLennan Agency seeks a Consultant in Employee Health and Benefits to deliver exceptional service and provide expert guidance on insurance solutions aligned with clients’ long-term strategies.

The role collaborates with sales teams and carrier partners to grow client success. It features a hybrid in-office/remote schedule, a culture grounded in performance and inclusive, Top Workplace values, and opportunities to influence benefit design for multiple organizations.

• Experience in brokerage or insurance industry with understanding of health plans
• Strong communication skills, ability to present to professionals
• Familiarity with Health & Welfare compliance (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA)

• Apply knowledge of employee benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA)
• Develop and manage benefit strategies, build strong client relationships, may require local travel

A day in the life

• Apply working knowledge of employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HRA, HSA, COBRA as well as general HR questions
• Develop and manage long and short range benefit strategies for clients, and foster strong client relationships; may require local travel to client site
• Serve as a subject matter expert to clients in areas of Health & Welfare compliance (i.e. HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, DOL, etc.)
• Manage the RFP process for new & prospective clients as well as the renewal and implementation processes
• Coordinate, develop, and execute project plans and presentations for specific client groups

Our future colleague

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Prior experience in brokerage or insurance industry with a thorough understanding of health plans, funding alternatives and the ability to think through non-traditional solutions
• Knowledge of various lines of insurance coverage; medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, design, rate structures, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to present to a range of professionals at each client
• Proficient in Health & Welfare compliance (i.e. HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, DOL, etc.)
• Life & Health Licensure or commitment to achieving within 6 months of start date
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff & management, external clients, prospects and vendors

The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
