Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in San Juan, PR, is actively seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Immigration Law, with a focus on Consular Processing (CP) and Waivers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to manage a robust caseload, work alongside a dedicated immigration team, and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. This role requires a strong ability to handle CP/Waiver cases, provide client-focused legal services, and contribute to the overall success of the immigration practice.
Duties:
Manage and oversee caseload involving CP/Waiver matters, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications.
Prepare clients for consulate interviews with detailed guidance and support.
Represent clients before USCIS proceedings.
Review and finalize immigration applications and supporting documentation.
Supervise a team of paralegals to meet case productivity goals and client service standards.
Conduct legal analyses to evaluate potential case strategies and benefits.
Draft and submit legal briefs across a variety of immigration matters.
Engage collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff to strategize and resolve complex immigration issues.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1-4 years of immigration law experience, preferably with a focus on CP and waiver cases.
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload efficiently and move cases forward effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to collective goals and client outcomes.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Proficiency with case management software platforms is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction is required.
Certifications:
Active Bar license in good standing.
