Job Overview

A prominent immigration law firm based in San Juan, PR is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a focus on Consular Processing (CP) and Waivers. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload involving I-130s, I-601As, I-212s, I-601s, K-visas, and related USCIS matters. Duties
  1. Manage a caseload of consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-visa applications
  2. Prepare clients for interviews at U.S. consulates abroad
  3. Represent clients before USCIS for related family and waiver-based cases
  4. Review and finalize immigration applications prepared by legal staff
  5. Provide detailed legal analysis and evaluate case merits for clients
  6. Draft and submit legal briefs and supporting documentation for complex immigration matters
  7. Supervise and mentor a team of paralegals, ensuring productivity and accuracy
  8. Ensure timely case progression in line with client expectations and firm standards
Requirements
  • 1–4 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with CP and waiver-based cases
  • Strong understanding of USCIS processes and family-based immigration pathways
  • Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with accuracy and efficiency
  • Proven leadership skills and experience supervising support staff
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications
