Job summary

Merante is hiring a Yardman to join our team in Pittsburgh. This full-time, on-site role supports the trucking and equipment division, ensuring efficient operations on construction projects.

You will maintain a clean yard, assist with loading and unloading, manage materials, and coordinate with project managers. Prior yard experience and operation of loaders, forklifts, and skid steers are preferred; safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a construction yard is preferred.
• Ability to operate loaders, forklifts, and skid steers.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication within a construction environment.
• Solid safety practices and reliability on site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized yard and manage materials/equipment.
• Assist in loading/unloading and delivering materials/tools to projects.
• Ensure equipment is stored properly and report issues promptly.
• Coordinate with project managers to understand material needs.
• Follow safety protocols to keep a safe work environment.
• Support field operations with timely material assistance.
• Work with Operations Coordinator to track inventory and inspections.
