Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Worker to support various projects, including infrastructure development, municipal construction, and structural work. As a critical member of our field operations team, you will perform physical labor, operate equipment, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, setting up barricades, and marking designated work areas.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, heavy machinery, and specialized construction equipment as needed (e.g., excavators, forklifts, jackhammers).
  • Structural Work: Assist with framing, concrete pouring, masonry, and other structural tasks.
  • Installations: Help install fixtures such as pipes, ducts, electrical conduits, and scaffolding under the supervision of foremen or supervisors.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and use protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work areas and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges.
  • Documentation: Complete time logs and report any incidents or delays to the site supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED (vocational training in construction or related field preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, general labor, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, drawings, and building codes is a plus.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of construction safety protocols (OSHA certification is a bonus).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions, including extreme weather.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and supervisors.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
