Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience within the construction industry.
• Hands-on experience processing union payroll and interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, certified payroll, and fringe benefit calculations.
• Experience preparing union remittance reports and managing benefit fund contributions.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for union construction employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer multiple collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union wage classifications.
• Calculate and process union dues, fringe benefits, pension, health & welfare, apprenticeship, and other fund contributions.
• Prepare and submit union remittance reports accurately and on schedule.
• Manage certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
• Review timesheets, job classifications, wage rates, and labor allocations for accuracy.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and month-end activities.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll regulations.
