Mortenson is seeking a skilled Truck Operator to operate Water, Dump, Haul, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy trucks in accordance with Mortenson safety policies.

You will follow safety regulations, perform routine maintenance, keep areas clean, and read load charts and manuals. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and the ability to work independently while applying basic math and safety rules on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Related construction experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Excellent teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to read safety rules, manuals and load charts.
• Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks (Water, Dump, Haul, Tractor Trailer/Lowboy) as required by project needs.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly assigned area.
• Perform routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning).
• Observe equipment for malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
