Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Start-Up Technician to install, commission, test, diagnose, and repair supermarket refrigeration systems and display equipment in Houston, TX. You will perform pre-start prep, pressure tests, leak checks, and on-site commissioning to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 7+ years of supermarket refrigeration experience, Universal EPA Certification, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

The Start-Up Technician will provide expert, journeyman-level work in the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, diagnosis, fine-tuning, and repair of refrigeration electrical, mechanical, and microprocessor control systems commonly installed in supermarkets and single systems, parallel racks systems, display cases and walk-in boxes. The technician will perform pre-start prep, pressure tests, evacuation, start-up, commissioning, leak detection procedures, and service calls resulting in 100% customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and professional workmanship and project oversight.
• Communicate issues with leadership or customers and take ownership of resolutions.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
• Provide timely and quality operational hand-off and commissioning.
