Job summary

Climate Pros is seeking a Start-Up Technician to install, start up, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems used in supermarkets and display cases. You will conduct pre-start prep, pressure tests, and commissioning, while ensuring top customer satisfaction and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of supermarket refrigeration experience, universal EPA certification, and familiarity with energy-management controls such as Novar, CPC, Danfoss, Micro-Thermo, and RDM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• 7+ years of supermarket refrigeration/freezer experience.
• Experience with Energy Management Controls and Rack Refrigeration (Novar, CPC, Danfoss, Micro-Thermo, RDM).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert journeyman-level work in installation, startup, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems.
• Perform pre-start prep, pressure tests, evacuation, start-up, commissioning, and leak tests.
• Provide detailed notes and photos in all dispatches; ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Job Description

The Start-Up Technician will provide expert, journeyman-level work in the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, diagnosis, fine-tuning, and repair of refrigeration electrical, mechanical, and microprocessor control systems commonly installed in supermarkets and single systems, parallel racks systems, display cases and walk-in boxes. The technician will perform pre-start prep, pressure tests, evacuation, start-up, commissioning, leak detection procedures, and service calls resulting in 100% customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and professional workmanship and project oversight.
• Communicate issues with leadership or customers and take ownership of resolutions.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
• Provide timely and quality operational hand-off and commissioning.
• Provide detailed notes and pictures in all dispatches assigned.
• Follow company policy on all check-in and checkout procedures with all customers.
• Keep a clean, organized truck and professional appearance.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety, environmental, government compliance, and project rules.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand; walk; climb; carry; bend; kneel; reach; push; pull and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; noise level is medium/low.
