Tidewater Tech is seeking an instructor for Building and Construction Trades in Norfolk, VA. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction and hands-on training across areas such as Air Conditioning, Commercial Equipment, and Plumbing, aiming to prepare students for skilled trades careers.

No prior teaching experience is required; a 5-day paid instructor training program is provided to help you transition into the classroom and succeed.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10-hour safety certification within 6 months of hire date.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Transition Certification within 6 months of hire date.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three (3) years of hands-on practical experience in the building and construction trades.

Responsabilités

• Teach classes as assigned on a regular, scheduled basis and create a welcoming environment for students conducive to learning.
• Assist in curriculum development, preparing course materials, and scheduling.
• Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and lab.
• Submit attendance, grades, student evaluations and all required documents.
