Restoration 1 of Huntington Beach is seeking a skilled tradesperson to lead finish repair work on residential and light commercial projects. You will handle drywall, tile, and painting tasks, moving between trades and delivering a clean, finished result.

Independence and reliability are essential as you manage multiple jobs and communicate progress to the office. The role requires 3+ years in drywall, tile, and painting, a valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

About Us

Restoration 1 of Huntington Beach is a licensed disaster restoration and remediation company (CA GC #1131316) serving homeowners and businesses across Orange County. After water, fire, or mold damage, we handle mitigation and then rebuild, returning our customers' homes to their pre-loss condition. We're growing and looking for a skilled, reliable tradesperson to lead our finish repair work.

The Role

You'll handle the rebuild phase on residential and light commercial jobs, mainly drywall, tile, and painting. Every job is different, so we need someone who can move between trades, work independently, and take pride in a clean, finished result.

Responsibilities

• Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall, including patches, ceiling repairs, and matching existing textures (orange peel, knockdown, smooth)
• Install and repair tile on floors, walls, showers, and backsplashes, including demo, backer board, waterproofing, setting, and grouting
• Prep and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including color matching, caulking, and trim work
• Perform general repairs such as baseboards, trim, doors, and minor carpentry as needed
• Protect customers' homes during work and keep job sites clean and safe
• Take before/after photos and communicate progress to the office
• Represent the company professionally with homeowners

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in drywall, tile, and painting (all three required)
• Ability to work independently and manage your time across multiple jobs
• Own basic hand and power tools
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces and attics
• Professional, respectful attitude with customers
• Pass a background check

Nice to Have

• Experience in insurance restoration or water/fire damage rebuilds
• Flooring installation (LVP, laminate) or basic plumbing/electrical fixture swaps
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
