Job summary

Frontier Communications is hiring a Construction Technician in Lafayette, IN. You will follow established safety practices and work in all weather, with the goal of learning to drive and operate a digger truck and trailer and obtaining the CDL by the end of the qualifying period.

Duties include lifting tools and ladders, climbing ladders and poles, working from heights or from a bucket, and installing cable plant.

Qualifications

• Maintain and construct outside plant to meet quality standards and Company policies.
• Coordinate with work forces to disseminate information to complete job assignments.
• Demonstrate the basic usage of a computer with company training.

Summary

Follows established safety practices and procedures and when needed be able to work in all types of weather. Must possess ability to learn to drive and operate digger truck and trailer, and to be able to obtain the required CDL driver's license by the end of their qualifying period.

Basic Qualifications

• Maintain and construct all outside plant to meet quality standards and Company policies as well as perform any other duties as assigned.
• Must interact with work forces to coordinate and disseminate information to complete job assignments and other sections to attain Company service objectives.
• Must maintain a professional image, support and participate in promotion of Company products.
• Must support and participate in promotion of Company products.
• Must be able to demonstrate the basic usage of a computer (laptop) with Company provided training by the end of the qualifying period as well as attend and pass any other training schools as assigned by the Company.
