Job Summary
Manage and execute activities related to construction, ensuring compliance with all requirements and providing safe, reliable service to customers. Facilitate training between engineering and construction to improve project planning and cost estimating. Coordinate with construction managers, front-line leaders, and scheduling to ensure cost-effective construction.

Key Results:

  • Safe, efficient, high-quality construction adhering to policies and standards.
  • Responsive construction support for internal and external customers.
  • Collaboration on project designs among engineering, technical services, and construction.
  • Completion of projects meeting customer expectations and budgets.
  • Effective counseling on company versus contract scenarios.
  • Positive relationships with municipalities and authorities.
  • Timely invoice payments to contractors.
  • Develop knowledge of current construction contracts, including Service Agreements.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver onboarding and workflow training for new coordinators.
  • Assist with project documentation and time management.
  • Support technical aspects of projects from start to finish, including safety and compliance.
  • Provide pre-job support and verify coordinator competencies.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and audits.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Implement best practices and support change management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Utilize technology to enhance processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of underground utility construction experience.
  • Knowledge of gas operations, contracts, and emergency response.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal codes.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and maps.
  • Working knowledge of systems like WMS, DIS, GIS.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Experience in construction inspection, welding, or engineering roles.
  • Cost estimation and job order creation experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
