Job summary

Big-D in Salt Lake City is seeking a Construction Technology Specialist to lead adoption, deployment and support of construction software and hardware.

The role collaborates with the Data and Security teams and cross-functional staff to ensure reliable integrations, performance, and compliance while delivering training and knowledge transfer across the organization. Requires 3+ years in the construction industry and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with construction software and hardware.
• Experience with enterprise construction applications.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, implement and support software and hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Work closely with the Data Team to ensure software integrations work consistently and effectively.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
• Work closely with the Security team to ensure software and hardware meets company security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and tailor applications to meet organizational needs
• Provide advanced technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving application related issues in collaboration with internal and vendor technical support representatives
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve support efficiency
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in application administration to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify, research, and implement solutions to improve productivity, assure accuracy & reduce costs.
• Identify opportunities that support business initiatives, including automation of processes.
• Supports adoption of software and hardware through collaboration with Learning and Development team and others as a Subject matter expert to ensure training is relevant and up to date.
• Builds and maintain positive relationships with key vendor contacts
