Pennsy Supply, a CRH company, is seeking a Tack Truck Driver to operate a specialized vehicle for transporting tack oil and materials used in road construction.

Join a leading North American supplier of asphalt, aggregates, cement, and paving services. You will follow safety rules, perform routine maintenance, and work varied shifts. A valid CDL Class B license with a clean MVR, DOT physical, drug screen and background checks are required.

Formación

• Must maintain safety compliance with MSHA/OSHA/DOT rules.
• CDL Class B license with clean MVR required.
• Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations required.
• Willingness to work day, night, or weekend shifts.
• Experience with road construction equipment preferred.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tack truck or specialized vehicle for tack oil distribution.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations per MSHA/OSHA/DOT.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform daily safety checks.
• Adjust spray bar width and flow to meet project specs.
• Coordinate with paving machine operator for proper distribution.
• Monitor gauges and ensure depth and temperature specifications.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Tack Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a specalized vechile to transport and distribute tack oil or other materials used in road construction projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRAK, etc.).
• Snap on screw on spray bars to attain required width of spray.
• Turn valve to regulate flow of material at specified rate.
• Move levers to adjust heights of spray bar from road surfaces.
• Signals paving machine operator to start paving machine.
• Observe distribution of material over road surfaces to ensure uniform distribution.
• Turn hand wheels to set angle and depth of screed.
• Verify depth specifications of compacted asphalt using depth gauge.
• Monitor flow gauges, tachometer, and temperature gauges.
• Oil and lubricate equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid CDL, Class B license a clean MVR, and must pass a DOT physical.
• Must submit to a drug screen, criminal background check and DOT physical.
• Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations.
• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

Education/Experience

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience operating an asphalt tack truck.
• 1-2 years of previous construction and paving experience preferred.
