Job summary

The University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking a System Administrator (Construction Systems) to support the construction management technology across three hospital campuses and offsites.

You will work with the System Administrator Lead, Project Managers, Planners, Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, Campus, and external vendors to ensure systems and reporting align with organizational standards, California GAAP, California contracting laws, and UCOP requirements where

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Three (3+) years of experience supporting construction management systems in a healthcare construction environment or equivalent education/experience.
• Proven experience as a construction software administrator, including system configuration, workflows, and reporting.
• Direct experience with invoice and contract lifecycle processes in construction environments.
• Strong understanding of California GAAP, construction accounting practices, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of California contracting laws and experience working within regulated or public-sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Construction Systems Administration: support admin, maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of construction management software, primarily Trimble Unity Construct (or equivalent).
• Process Design & Continuous Improvement: design, document, and implement construction business processes and invoicing workflows compliant with GAAP and internal controls.
• Reporting & Data Management: develop and deliver standard and ad-hoc reports for capital leadership, finance, and project managers.
• Training & User Support: provide training and ongoing support for Project Managers, Planners, and external vendors.
• SOP & Governance Alignment: collaborate to create, review, and maintain SOPs; support audits and change management.
