Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Austin, TX is hiring a Construction Survey Technician to support office and field staff by processing information and delivering final construction surveying deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and utilize the latest A/E/C technology in your daily tasks.

Qualifications include at least one year of relevant experience, strong computer skills, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, and the ability to read construction plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in construction surveying or related field.
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; or similar application is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; geometry and trigonometry are a plus.
• Ability to read, understand construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Process data using SAM standards and evaluate accuracy and sufficiency while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
• Perform initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet client-specific demands.
