Job summary

Harrison Gray Search is assisting a leading electrical contractor in finding a Construction Survey Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves executing field layout using advanced survey technology, ensuring project accuracy and safety in active construction environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret construction drawings, and effective communication skills. A valid driver’s license is required, and prior construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Prior construction field experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and use survey technology systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field layout using survey equipment and technology.
  • Verify and document layout points to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and communicate site conflicts or discrepancies to the CST Lead.
  • Maintain survey equipment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Track progress, updates, and project blockers in Monday.com.

Position Overview

The Construction Survey Technician (CST) is responsible for executing precise field layout using advanced survey technology to translate coordinated models into accurate, constructible installation points. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project accuracy, safety, and efficiency on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field layout using survey equipment and technology
  • Verify and document layout points to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and communicate site conflicts or discrepancies to the CST Lead
  • Maintain survey equipment and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Track progress, updates, and project blockers in Monday.com
