Job summary

Turner Construction Company’s SourceBlue division in Houston is seeking an entry-level procurement support professional to assist with equipment and supply chain services for assigned projects.

You will help review procurement packages for compliance, track product issues from multiple stakeholders, prepare scope documents and bid forms, and support submittal reviews. Occasional site visits help observe product installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing college degree or 2+ years of experience in supply chain, or related field
• Supply chain experience and/or internship in construction preferred
• Knowledge of supply chain operations and construction products desired
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently or in a team; strong communication

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviews of equipment and procurement packages for compliance with drawings and specifications
• Track and document product issues from clients, Owner’s Representatives, designers, consultants, GCs, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors and escalate as needed
• Assist with preparation of scope of work documents, coordinate matrices, and bid response forms for vendor bid packages
• Assist with reviews of submittals and shop drawings to provide misaligned findings to contract specifications
• Visit project sites to observe quality and placement of products
• Visit manufacturers’ factories to observe Factory Witness Tests and learn about product development and specs
• Assist with Supply Chain heat mapping, vendor database, resiliency systems, equipment tracking, and other duties to support development of business products and services
• Perform data entry to update and maintain master procurement data (pricing, contracts, delivery schedules)
• Follow standardized processes for development and maintenance of project documentation
• Assist with reviews of change orders including preparation of independent analysis, estimates for vendor requests, approvals, and conflict resolutions
• Assist with vendor prequalification process as requested
• Participate in closeout process and assist with final records for projects
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
