Summary Description

Lycoming -- Clinton Counties Commission for Community Action (STEP) Inc. is seeking a Construction Supervisor I. The Construction Supervisor I performs tasks across a broad range of new and rehabilitation-related construction projects, either independently, with an assigned work crew, or in conjunction with other Construction Supervisors. Construction activities include those designed to increase energy efficiency, health, safety, accessibility, and affordability, such as major renovations like bathroom, kitchen, accessibility improvements, structural repairs, and other major building projects. The role involves overseeing the construction phase of housing rehabilitation projects, including on-site supervision, quality assurance, meeting production schedules, and ensuring code compliance. The position also requires detailed paperwork and communication with customers from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, National Sex Offender Registry check current within 90 days of employment, and Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Upon conditional offer, submit to a medical evaluation to wear a respirator, as per the Respirator Protection Plan.
• Maintain annual medical approval to wear a respirator.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with adequate insurance.
• Ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 60 pounds unassisted, working at heights, and wearing safety equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Construction Laborer II or equivalent in residential housing rehabilitation or related fields.
• Ability to supervise work crews in the field.
