The Supervisor will plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, procedures, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience (Supervisor I).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience (Supervisor II).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or supervising construction and field activities.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Ability to independently evaluate problems, make decisions, and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with construction personnel, engineering, project management, senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, organize, and coordinate construction and field activities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, training, and oversight to construction personnel.
  • Coordinate staffing and resources to execute assigned scopes of work.
  • Ensure activities comply with safety requirements, quality standards, contracts, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and clients.
  • Provide technical and functional support to construction teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve field and construction issues.
  • Assist in development and implementation of construction plans and programs.
  • Support QA and training activities related to construction operations.
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, and budgetary responsibilities.
  • Promote positive employee relations and effective communication across teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of construction methods and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies by supervised personnel.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and work groups.
  • Perform other construction-related duties and special projects.

Job description

Brown Federal Services is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor I/II to support operations at the PORTS Site in Piketon, Ohio. The Construction Supervisor will help plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee construction activities while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable contract requirements, quality standards, procedures, and budgetary guidelines. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to construction personnel while working closely with project management, engineering, construction support disciplines, client representatives, and other project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Qualifications

Construction Supervisor I:

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or supervising construction and field activities.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Ability to independently evaluate problems, make decisions, and coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with construction personnel, engineering, project management, senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, methods, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established safety requirements.
  • Ability to work in an active environmental restoration and industrial setting.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and, when required, respiratory protection.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor conditions, temperature extremes, high-noise areas, confined spaces, and areas involving potential radiological or chemical hazards.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical requirements associated with the position, including prolonged walking and standing and other field-related activities.
  • Radiological or other site‑specific training may be required based on assigned work.
