Construction Superintendent - Houston, TX

We are looking for a Construction Superintendent who is a self-starter with strong leadership skills. This person will be responsible for managing day-to-day progress on the jobsite, handling RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and project turnover to management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all phases of ground-up multi-family construction.
• Ensuring construction complies with contracts, plans, specifications, and subcontracts.
• Facilitating effective communication across the project team.
• Meeting project schedule and budget targets.
• Enforcing OSHA standards strictly.
• Interpreting legal and construction documents and administering the prime contract.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Applying basic estimating skills and quantity take-offs to support production budgets.
• Analyzing approval times, fabrication, and delivery schedules.
• Managing project budgets, cost forecasts, labor, and expenditures; approving scope changes and billing.
• Understanding contracts and preparing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Monitoring job mobilization and evaluating construction processes.
• Leading project meetings and ensuring successful project closeout.
• Supervising subordinate staff and fostering positive management relationships.

Requirements:

• Must be local to Houston, Texas.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervising multifamily, housing, or hotel construction.
• Ability to interpret codes and UL assemblies.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Team player.
