Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee municipal and industrial water infrastructure projects in the Tampa Bay area. You will lead field operations on water and wastewater facilities, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coordinate with owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy civil or utility construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with construction plans and scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience on heavy civil or utility construction projects.
• Strong background in water/wastewater treatment plant construction, pump stations, lift stations, or underground utilities.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors in an active construction environment.
• Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on water and wastewater construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, craft personnel, and self‑perform crews.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and short‑interval look‑ahead schedules.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage quality control processes and ensure compliance with project specifications and contract documents.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and interactions with owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction drawings to identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Track labor, equipment, and material productivity.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
