Job summary

Pillar Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to plan, supervise, and coordinate construction projects on multiple sites in Florida.

The role emphasizes safety, budget adherence, and timely delivery with a strong focus on coordinating crews and equipment. The ideal candidate will have significant supervisory experience, the ability to read plans, and fluent English communication, with Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional evenings/weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; education may be substituted with experience.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.
• Interface professionally with Pillar team members and subcontractors.
• Fluent English communications; Spanish fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work and verify performance and safety measures.
• Follow project development processes to ensure timely completion.
• Travel between job sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Monitor quality of work and material usage across stages.
• Inspect to meet safety and compliance regulations for each location.
• Plan and organize work to maximize crew productivity and equipment utilization.
• Promote and enforce the corporate safety program and document safety practices.
• Staff each phase of the project and assign personnel accordingly.
• Coordinate with operations on equipment and labor needs.
• Lead foremen and support the crew, fostering teamwork and development.
• Apply cost-effective project management techniques in the field.
• Ensure work complies with company procedures, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance; resolve problems.
