Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Superintendent to lead field teams, ensure safety, and drive project execution.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and trades to deliver on time and within budget, while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates bring strong supervisory experience, knowledge of scheduling and cost control, and proven stakeholder management in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline.
• NCSO designation required (IND); enrollment in the Gold Seal program (CDN) preferred. 5 years of progressive experience in field supervision preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry and company operations; understanding of project scope and basic engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Works with the project manager to ensure implementation of safety program and site procedures.
• Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team.
• Communicates effectively with own forces and trades to meet performance, productivity, quality, and safety targets.
• Collaborates with project manager and team to manage issues, interferences, and schedule conflicts.
• Liaises between field engineers, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
