Job summary

ServiceMaster DSI is seeking a Construction Superintendent at its Madison, WI location. Starting salary is $70K+ per year, negotiable by experience, with a company vehicle and eligible for a yearly bonus. The role requires strong communication, hands-on construction and project-management skills, plus restoration/remodeling experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on construction experience.
• 2 years project management experience (preferred).
• Strong remodeling/restoration experience (preferred).
• Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to move and/or lift 50+ lbs.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Xactimate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct communication with customers throughout the entire project to ensure excellent customer service.
• Manage direct report Carpenters and scheduling.
• Manage subcontractors to support project completion, quality and timelines.
• Escalate technical problems to Regional Construction Manager.
• Ensure materials, permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained timely.
• Ensure timely and quality completion of construction and carpentry projects.
• Adhere to scope, time and material specs; report discrepancies.
• Assist in change order estimating, approval process and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Monitor productivity and cost; review job cost reports.
• Schedule, price, and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Comply with safety practices and PPE; read MSDS while handling chemicals.
• Adhere to company policies; follow safety manual.
• Drive company vehicle to customer locations.
• Execute work to meet regulations and quality standards; provide world-class service.
• Keep jobsite clean and professional; present a first-class impression.
• Maintain schedules to ensure timely service delivery; participate in on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as required.
