Job summary

Taylor Ryan Executive Search Partners is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on K-12 projects in North Texas, from mobilization through closeout. Projects include ground-up schools, additions, and renovations on occupied campuses, delivered via CMAR and competitive sealed proposal methods.

The role requires 5+ years as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor, K-12/public-sector experience (TX ISD preferred), OSHA 30 certification, and proficiency with Procore.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• K-12 or public-sector construction experience required; Texas ISD experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ground-up construction, additions, and occupied-campus renovations.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor management.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Construction Science or related degree a plus; equivalent field experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including three-week look-aheads.
• Plan and coordinate phasing on occupied campuses to minimize disruption to students and staff.
• Enforce site safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Serve as the primary field contact for district representatives, architects, and inspectors.
• Participate in preconstruction reviews for constructability, sequencing, and logistics.
• Oversee punch list, closeout, and turnover to the owner.
