Next 150 Construction Services in the Washington, D.C. metro area is seeking a Construction Superintendent II to support field operations by coordinating trade contractors, monitoring safety, quality, and schedules, and assisting with planning and documentation.

The role requires 3+ years leading 20–25+ crews, a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, OSHA 30, and the ability to travel locally around the DMV. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $124,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3+ years’ experience leading crews of 20-25+ craft in a superintendent capacity.
• Superintendent experience on projects of total value $20 million - $50 million+.
• Ability to Travel locally around the DMV area if needed; OSHA 30 hour certified.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates assigned trade contractors and field activities to support adherence to approved schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Reviews and works in strict accordance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications for assigned scopes.
• Maintains accurate daily field reports, safety documentation, and records using required construction management and safety operations systems.
• Supports safety enforcement, quality control inspections, and field coordination; escalates concerns to senior field leadership as needed.
• Attends and participates in project meetings to support coordination and communication.
• Tracks production, labor hours, and productivity metrics for assigned scopes and reports variances.
• Assists with forecasting labor and material needs and supports cost-of-work tracking.
• Establishes credibility with Owners, trade contractors, unions, and field personnel; supports onboarding and training.
• Manages daily reporting, documentation, and cost tracking in finance and construction management software.
• Implements sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives within assigned scopes.
